Walt
is a Naval Academy graduate with two masters degrees in engineering
from MIT. He is retired from careers in the Navy, as an engineer,
and as a small business owner in the DC area. He has written numerous
op-ed pieces for the Roanoke Times and other Virginia newspapers
on various topics and has had many articles on vintage military
and ham radios published in hobby magazines.
Sharyn
graduated from the University of Georgia in journalism and worked
in public broadcasting and as a freelance writer/editor. She wrote
features for the Columbia State Magazine (now defunct)
during the '80s, won the South Carolina State short story award
for three years, and wrote training film scripts for video companies
in South Carolina and Georgia. Her short stories were published
in Southern Partisan magazine and in The Cat's Meow
(Maine Rhode Publishers, 1996) an anthology of cat stories. She
also transcribed the public broadcasting programs Firing Line
with William F. Buckley, Jr. and DebatesDebates for
most of the years they were on the air.
